"Am I The Only American Who Thinks This Way?"
A newly released book, written by constitutional literalist Jim Purcey.
Jim was born December 8, 1950, in Michigan. Jim, with his brother and parents, moved to Southern California when he was in the second grade. He attended elementary school, middle school, and high school in Orange County, California. During his senior year of high school, he left school and enlisted in the United States Marine Corp. His great-great grandfather was in Sherman’s March to the Sea during the Civil War. His grandfather was an Army soldier in WWI; his father a Naval Gunners Mate in WWII, his brother enlisted in the Navy, being discharged honorably for medical reasons, and later in his life, his son would become a member of the United State Air Force.
Jim was a Marine grunt infantryman in Vietnam. He was a Proud Marine and had an enormous Love for Family and Country. When he returned home, from his military service, he married his childhood sweetheart and together they began plans for a family. Their son came first and then they had a daughter. It was when he returned home, that he began to question changes that he saw in the way things were before he left, and the way things were when he returned home. Jim carried a silver dollar in his pocket for good luck when he was in Vietnam. When he came home, he went to the local bank and wanted ten of these silver dollars to give to friends and family for a Christmas gift. It was at the bank that day in December 1970 when the cashier told him that the bank did not have these coins anymore, and that if he wanted some he would have to go to a coin shop. Therefore, off to the coin shop he went to get his 10 silver dollars. He told the man behind the counter what he wanted, and the man quickly walked to the back room and came back with a box of coins. The man told him to pick out the coins that he wanted. He did, and then he reached into his pocket and put a ten-dollar bill on the counter as payment. The clerk looked at him with a smile on his face and laughed. He said these are eight dollars apiece you owe me eighty dollars plus tax. Jim looked at the clerk and said, “Are you kidding?” The man said, “Where have you been?” “These coins have been taken out of circulation. They are now collector coins.” Jim stood there, not really knowing what to say, but said “Something’s not right, just two years ago I could get as many of these coins as I wanted, dollar for dollar, paper dollar for silver dollar.” The man nodded his head in agreement and said “not anymore.” The coins remained on the counter and Jim left the shop empty handed. With questions racing through his head, how can one dollar cost eight dollars? With this incident still fresh in his mind, Jim went to the local library. He thought it was the cheapest university in the United States. Later in life, he would tell his kids this. He walked directly to the librarian and asked where he could find information regarding the monetary system in the United States. To his surprise, the librarian directed him to volumes of books on the monetary system. He began to read and investigate, to find the answers to the questions he had at the coin shop. He quickly discovered he had more questions about other things and, each time he got close to the answer, another question popped up. These questions were about the banking system, the Federal Reserve Board, the Internal Revenue Service, the State Income Tax and much, much more. This was the beginning. The more he searched for answers the more questions he had.
Today, Jim is 57 years old. His family is all raised. He has two grandchildren and his parents and family are excited about his book.
In His book, Jim touches on the issues that affect the everyday life of most Americans. Our monetary system, taxation, education, immigration, foreign imports, losing jobs in America, separation of Church and State, the prison system, the “POWER of THE JURY”, the race issues that plague America and even the marriage and driver's licenses.
Jim writes about how it is possible for all Americans to mortgage their homes with “NO INTEREST FINANCING”. He also explores the possibility for all Americans to keep every dollar they earn.
He explains how the American Juror is the “most powerful person” in our system of Government, more powerful than the President, the Congress and the Supreme Court.
His book poses questions that affect most Americans, and then challenges us to seek change and apply them to our everyday lives.
His book probes into the politics that he believes are destroying this great nation from within.
Why are our immigration laws not being applied?
Why are our borders “wide open”?
Why are corporations allowed and even rewarded with tax advantages for taking their businesses abroad to foreign countries and putting Americans out of work?
Why do so many Americans today FEAR their government?
"WHEN GOVERNMENT FEARS THE PEOPLE THERE IS FREEDOM,
BUT WHEN THE PEOPLE FEAR THE GOVERNMENT THERE IS TYRANNY!"
THOMAS JEFFERSON
His book explores the past, the present and the future.
His writings are simple, easy to read, thought provoking, informative, refreshing and a voice of a man who truly loves his country.
